Our story
The scent of boerseep, remembered.
Wildgrain Co is a small South African studio pouring artisan tallow soap by hand. Our work is quiet, patient, and rooted in the belief that the old ways still have something to teach us about caring for skin — and for the land that feeds it.

Oupa Jan
A grandfather's kitchen.
Long before "artisan" was a word we used, our grandfather rendered fat, stirred lye, and cured boerseep on a shelf above the pantry. He didn't call it craft. He called it Tuesday.
That memory — the earthy smell of it, the honesty of it — is the seed of everything we make.
Two sisters
Coming home to craft.
Years and cities later, we found ourselves back at the same kitchen table with the same simple question: what if skincare could be this honest again?
Wildgrain Co is our answer — nose-to-tail, small-batch, and slow enough to do it properly.
What we promise
Four principles. Nothing more.
Ethically sourced tallow
From grass-fed South African cattle, sourced through farms we know by name.
Whole, recognisable ingredients
Never more than six per bar — everything on the label, everything you could pronounce.
Truly small batches
Poured, cut and cured by hand. If we can't make it well, we don't make it.
Kind to skin, kind to earth
Nose-to-tail respect, minimal packaging, and no synthetics — ever.
